Yoshiko Shibata Niemann graduated from Tamagawa University with an associate degree in English(1983) and a bachelor's in environmental design from Minneapolis College of Art & Design in Minnesota (1988).

She worked as an interior designer at Atelier-U in Los Angeles serving clients like Yoshinoya restaurant. Strongly influenced by her parents who enjoy oil painting in 1983.

Inspired by where she currently lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, she paints oil and acrylic illustration of landscapes, portraits, and wildlife. She also paints commissioned projects.
